We were fortunate to have discovered Flower Hill about 5 years ago. Go there for everything from oil changes to major $1200 repair, found their prices to be competitive and work completed on time. The free loaners are definitely a plus. "The guys" point out potential problems, but without high-pressure tactics. Trust them completely.

Have always been fair and honest. One issue was when I spoke with Nick and he told me that my battery was weak. What bothered me was that he did not clean off the battery posts to see if that might help at least short term. I had seen the corrosion before but had not taken the time to clean them. He should have.

Thanks for the feedback. I left Lynn a message to stop by so we could address this concern. There was no voltage drop between the terminal and battery, so it is making a good connection. However, it is best to have the cables cleaned. Lynn and Yvonne have been customers for close to 20 years and we want to maintain their level of trust with Flower Hill Automotive.
Since the service station is so far from our house it would be nice if you had a drop off and wait option (depending on the repair and wait time).

I've been with Flower Hill Automotive since the day they opened and the service was just as good then as it is now. The staff has always been accommodating even when I call at the last minute and all repairs are completed timely. I've never had to return because of poor workmanship. The gentlemen at FHA have been taking care of any and all of my auto needs ( from fixing that unexpected flat tire to regular 'check ups') with consistently excellent service since I moved to Gaithersburg over 17 yrs ago. Just don't understand why I needed a $150 "test" when all indications pointed to the charging system. There was even a whining sound that came from the alternator that is now gone. If you had checked the battery/alternator first, I could have gotten out at $300 instead of $450. Have been going there for years. I rated very good because the repairs have always been good and warrantied but the expense...

I emailed Alan to explain that the $153.00 charge was not just for diagnostics. The $153.00 included the labor to install the alternator which, in fact, was majority of the charge. In addition, we had discounted 10% the $150.00 for a net total of $137.70. The discount was applied because the Herzog's are AAA members. I hope this was just a simple misunderstanding and I appreciate the comments as it gave me an opportunity to explain.
